Tattoo: Slocombe's Pussy Play the Tattoos of Tony Cronin Launch!

This is a DVD/CD by psychedelic rock band, Slocombe’s Pussy. They have interpreted the live projected tattoos of Tony "the Face" Cronin, former chauffeur & bodyguard of Chopper Read. This show is a collaboration between Musicians, a Video Artist and a Tattoo Collector. Slocombe’s Pussy are joined by saxophone firebrand, Adam Simmons and New Blood co-conspirator Ben Carr and, visual artist and VJ Paul Rodgers, in a chaotic journey of searing saxophones, improvised guitar solos, noise and sonic brutalism, layered over rugged riffs. Slocombe’s Pussy sonically tell the stories etched in Tony’s skin since he started collecting tattoos at 13 years of age.

The launch of this DVD/CD will be at The Workers Club in Fitzroy on the 26th of November. This show will also include Baptism of Uzi, Yolke and Myles Brown (Night Terrors) performing a solo Theremin show! Stay tuned for more details.

Dreamtime and Slocombe's Pussy at The Brunswick Hotel- 29th October

Dreamtime make a quick foray down the east coast of Australia. 

Hailing from Brisbane’s underground DIY scene, DREAMTIME aims to create personal journeys to help draw listeners out of their frontal lobe consciousness and into sonic fantasies. Drifting off during extended meditative jams, the music plays through DREAMTIME. Inspiration comes from psychedelic bands from 1968 – 1971 among other places.

Slocombe's Pussy are proud to be supporting them on Saturday 29th Oct at The Brunswick Hotel with Seedy Jeezus and Udays Tiger. 8pm Get along...

The Paul Kidney Pussy Experience Album Ready For Launch

Well picked the CDs up yesterday. Look great. Hand numbered and limited to 100. I think they're going to be $10, but if you buy them at the launch they will be only $5 with the ticket. Can't get better than that!

The Paul Kidney Pussy Experience Album

The Paul Kidney Pussy Experience CD is a mega-beast of The Paul Kidney Experience and Slocombe's Pussy. We recorded two hours of live improvised psychedelia at The Tote in Collingwood one Saturday in August and Jon Perring has distilled this recording down to a forty minute album. It combines ambient soundscapes with freaked out sonic assaults blending the evil triad of Hawkwind, Can and Faust with the modern day menace of Hey Colossus, Causa Sui and Acid Mothers Temple. 


The launch for this will be at Irene Warehouse in Brunswick on the 15th of October featuring PKE, Slocombe's Pussy, with supports from Vodnik, Adam Simmons Vs Brian O'Dwyer and Blankface Distortion. 

The resulting album is temporarily appearing as a very (very) short run cd release on Supercriticality Records.The CD runs a touch over 40mins. The track listing is:
